NANFA-- Collecting trip saturday!
Mon, 29 Mar 2004 22:39:35 EST

For all you people on the list who delight in catching sunfish on hook and
line I saw a sight that would have given you a real thrill Saturday at Lake
Waccamaw. A haul seine was used several times and some of the biggest and most
beautiful sunfish I have ever seen were brought up in large numbers. I could
almost smell the hot grease! But of course we sent them back to their nests but it
was quite a site! Most I was told were Pumpkin seeds. No one could possibly
need cichlids after seeing these fish in all their glory. Even a discus would
have been envious. Three cheers for the natives!
