I've seen it at the libray but never perused it carefully. I wouldn't recommend
it since it is probably dated.

For field ID, I recommend the Peterson Field Guide by page and Burr.

For a general introduction to North American fish biology, I recommend FISH
WATCHING: AN OUTDOOR GUIDE TO FRESHWATER FISHES by C. Lavett Smith.
