All this reminds me of this movie my wife was watching, where this
family moved to Africa and the teenage son was obsessed with
keeping venemous snakes. His mother was constantly worried
about the snakes, but the kid said "you only get bitten if you don't
know what you're doing". The outcome was predictable. With
some animals you only get to make one mistake.
