Does anyone have a suggestion as to what to feed Black
Crappies?

Sounds to me like a trip to the local bait store is in order.
They might be holding out for live minnows.
As an added bonus, sometimes you can find goodies
that get mixed in with the bait minnows if you check them.
You could surely try some baitstore (clean & in sawdust)
maggots too.
Never had any luck with crappies in my tank though.
If it doesn't work out, you could always deep fry 'em.
