i jumped in for a snorkel a couple weeks ago coming back up from south bama.
the water was awesome, clear and full of life. eager for a return.
any takers for this weekend?
highlights were alabama shiners in full glory. Blue shiners very beautiful,
elegant. herds of logperch. lots of blackbanded darters. masses of wideyed
latinos on the bank. didnt see the 5' gar tho...
did the human surface board a few times. big redhorses, drum and cats.
all the regulars... nice speckled darters, studfish.

this would be a snorkel trip... state park does not allow seines. downstream
is some private property that may allow access to some very rough, slippery
boulders for collecting. the former and most excellent access point has been
walled off w/ a private residence and gate.
