Neat observations Casper. After snorkelling for a week in North American
paradise and then coming home only to find serious flooding and chocolate
milk colored water... I can't wait to head thataway again for the
Convention! :)

Eggs make juvenile shiners look like cake to ID, especially when you haven't
caught the critters in the act. There's really nothing saying that they are
_fish_ eggs even. See any newts or other amphibs hanging out? Could have
been insect eggs too. That's not that big of a caseing.
