A group of us associated with the Central Florida NANFA chapter (most of whom are also killifish people) went to a fish collecting expedition Saturday, centered around and hosted by the Richloam Fish Hatchery ... where we heard gruesome stories of them using florida flagfish (Jordanella floridae) by the thousands as mere forage food for their brood bass. OW OW OW, talk about a frightful thing to have in mind just before Halloween!!!! People reportedly pay $10 or more per pair for these guys in Europe. Fortunately. most of the feeding show we saw used crawdads, for which we don't have the same level of empathy.
