I agree with Dave on the waders...

I use my neoprene waders everytime I go collecting between October and
March. Up here in Maryland it gets a little cold so that's why the neoprene
is necessary for collecting during those months. For the other months I use
a pair of very lightweight breathable waders that have built in neoprene
socks and I then wear felt soled boots over the socks.

As far as other equipment goes, I use a 5 gallon "Homer Paint Bucket" from
Home Depot, it is orange and is around $3.99. The handle works great with
carrying water all the way up to the brim in it. I only have one net and one
net only, it is a medium size dip net that I got down in the FL Keys at
"World Wide Sport Fisherman" for $12.99. That net is awesome! It has a
silver rim and silver handle and then black mess netting, it is very tough
and extremely hard to rip so is great for any type of collecting.
