Quite a pity that the public doesn't respond to the same things we do.
There's a cool Anableps display at the Aquarium of the Americas in New
Orleans. The Anableps were cool enough, but in the same tanks were the first
goodeids I had ever seen alive. I knew just enough to know that they were
goodeids, but that's all, and they didn't have the other fish labeled.
Needless to say, the exhibit of sharks 50 feet away was crowded, and no one
except myself was looking at the livebearers.
