I eed my fish blood worms, 'plankton' (looks like small krill), mosquito
larvae, and ground up oysters/shrimp. They also eat flake food.

I have a bunch of rocks that are covered with algae. The hog suckers graze
on it constantly, but the stone rollers do a better job at keeping it clean.
You might try some, Moon.

Unfortunately, they seem to prefer meaty foods and compete aggressively for
the foods listed above.

Mine mostly eat frozen blood worms along with OSI "Fine" sized pellets. I
had
hoped they would eat algae but they show no signs of being vegetarians at
all.
