I'm not a big expert, or anything, but have the same situation, it should be
ok, as long as you have a powerful system, and the the returning tube is
pointed away from the inlet. You should point it at the other end. I did the
same thing with my tank, and just to be safe, i attached an internal
cannister(fluval 3) on the opposite end glass, pointing the current at the
inlet. These internals are very nice, and powerful, and best of all....cheap.
I recomend a Fluval 4 in your situation, it will also keep the circulation
going around the aquarium, right wawy i noticed the water was much more clear
after installation of the fluval ICF.
