Yeah, let them sting you, NO, just kidding. Avoid being stung by madtoms .
Check the tail, if it "wraps" around the caudal penduncle and attaches to
the adipose fin, then its a madtom. However, some madtons have a near notch
between the caudal and adipose fin, but its still connected on close
inspection.
