My blackbandeds eat flake. Of course, they prefer frozen or live and if
given the choice will ignore the flake but, when fed only flake, they do eat
it. Probably has something to do with the bluespotted sunfish and golden
topminnows in the tank going after it. As for my pygmies, I have yet to get
them to eat flake but they will eat hikari micro pellets in addition to
frozen bloodworms and frozen daphnia.
