I bought a 40 gal tank from a friend who was moving. He had constructed a
center brace of some industrial plastic which slid over the tank sides when
it was empty.

Challenging the division between curiousity and stupidity, I took it off one
day and began filling up the tank which began to bow disconcertingly soon.
Don't know when I've emptied a tank so fast!

That room was frequented by small children. I still shudder to think what
could have happened.

The center brace is kind of awkward and sits too high on the tank, but I
like the idea because it offers a certain flexibility. (Not a pun I was
looking for.)

All the best,

Scott
