Hey Todd.

What you see on the fish is the sexually mature worms (actually, you only
see the females.) The larvae and eggs are actually living in the water
and gravel. Those are what you need to kill to en the cycle.
Unfortunately, I believe they have a very long life span.

Jungle makes a product that you can use in the aquarium, although its
designed for ponds. They've recently changed the formual, and I don't
think it works quite as well, but it still works exceptionally well.
