The web site says that catch and release is mandatory in BC. In the states
of Oregon and Washington (where I live) there is a slot limit where a single
fish from 36 to 42 inches may be kept. All others must be released. This
preserves juvenile and breeding fish while encouraging a sport fishery.
Hunting and fishing licenses pay for almost all WSDFW expenses in our state.
