I kept a few individuals, also from Wisconsin, last year while in Door County. They proved extremely hardy, adaptable, forgiving, and quite willing to eat almost any live food or prepared food they were offered. Mine were kept in a combination of well water and Lake Michigan water (source of live foods).
Good luck with them as they are beautiful once they regain full colors in your tank.
