I did a quick google search and didn't find anything suggesting this.
Several studies have looked-in-repeated exposure and compared fishes to
control groups and didn't mention anything, but they may not have
specifically looked either. I usually only use it to kill fish in the
field, thus damage to the gills wouldn't be very important-in-that stage.
