Thanks, what I meant about the algae is that the sand doesn't seem to have
the diatom producing qualities usually found in play sand,-in-least in
freshwater. I have 45# of aragonite/crushed coral is a 45 gallon tank. The only reason
I want it deeper is so that my conch can burrow. I will try to find the
Southdown tropical play sand. it is the exact same stuff as caribsea (mined-in-the
same place) and is $3.84 for 50#.
