Isn't it a bit presumptuous to assume that fish perceive color the same
as we? Maybe they just eat the gravel because they are retarded ;)

Actually, many fish can perceive color similar to humans ....the
mudminnows in my tank have no trouble picking out red blood worms from the
gravel...if the Hikari sinking carnivore pellets were red...do I think the
fish would find them easier...absolutely
