Hi Folks

Heading down to the Keys in February and thought about bringing back mangrove root wad for my freshwater aquarium. I can usually find nice narly pieces along the shore .... not sure if they are seasoned enough but look pretty nice nonetheless ....

Has anyone used mangrove roots in there aquarium...do they rot easy/fast

Also, I saw where seeds (propagules ???) can be placed in styrofoam-in-the surface, allowing the plant to grow out the top and the roots to grow into the aquarium. Has anyone done this and how long does it take to get established?

Mike (using Lori's computer)
