I feed a combination of frozen brine shrimp, frozen bloodworms and freshwater mysis shrimp (Crail introduced me to this). Darters will selectively eat only the mysis. It's 65% protein. They seem to just thrive on the stuff. Even the guys that normally waste away. I've maintained the same darters for over a year in my tank-in-work here (orangethroats, rainbows, greensides, variegates, etc) on a mysis exclusive diet.

what do ya'll feed your darters?
specifically ones from fast moving riffles in the appalachians.
so far, I've tried some black worms, with apparently no luck.. but they
move fast and so is the water so maybe I'm just not seeing them getting
eaten. But then its only been a couple days.. perhaps they're just not
comfortable enough yet to eat.
