"The drum have been afflicted with Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia (VHS). It
is a North American strain. We also are experiencing some losses of yellow
perch. Some of the larger concentrations of perch and other dead fish have
been associated with commercial fishing operations. There is also a virus
problem going on with the yellow perch. We suspect VHS also."
