Our group has occassionally caught stonecats in the Mississippi River -
usually a medium- to light-brown - but we haven't seen very many. None were
blue.
We do see blue catfish (I. furcatus) every now and then that are leucistic.
In some cases, these are brilliant white. In one case, the fish had
panda-type pigmentation: snow white with jet black patches on fins, mouth,
and sides.
