channel catfish
Florida flagfish (Jordanella floridae)
rosy red feeder minnows
sailfin mollies (either Poecilia latipinna or P. velifera, or hybrids of the two and other species)
Texas cichlids

Others are also available from time to time, but those above are probably the most common. I wrote an article on this topic for TFH, in 2003, I think, describing the species above. It's the native fish issue, which I think may be available through Jonah's Aquarium.

Gar were also available in stores awhile back, but I haven't seen any in the shops where I live for a couple of years.
