Something I do when I take kids out into the creeks is demonstrate some
different seining techniques and where fish tend to be found, Then I turn
the kids loose with a bunch of seines and let them collect the fish. I
usually have some parents along and they seem to get into it more than the
kids. The parents seem to have more questions and they sem to stay-in-it
longer. I would also suggest taking either some of the disposable waterproof
cameras or designate a photographer. I forgot to do that and found out that
a Canon camera cannot be submerged.
