G'day folks

A while back I asked a few questions on Pimephales. I now have fatheads
breeding regularly in the lab. They actually are a pretty neat fish,
males go jet black with two broad white bands around their bodies.
Breeding is more like breeding a cichlid than a minnow. Easy to raise
too, just start them on baby brine shrimp. If anyone has any good
pictures of colored up males please let me know.

I have a bunch of P. notatus setup as well in a large tank. Water temp is
about 78, daylength is ~16 hours. I put in some tiles with small rocks
under them to provide potential spawning sites, but have seen no sign of
any activity. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on breeding
them? I never actually found any solid literature on how folks have
previously bred them.

Thanks
Peter Unmack
