I've got a 9 inch longnose gar in my 110 gallon tank. I got him last April when he was only 4 inches. He is doing very well and lives with 6 sunfish and a pair of bullheads. I was feeding him guppies until he reached 6 inches. Now he is eating goldfish. I have had absolutely no luck trying to get him to eat dead food! Any suggestions, anyone?

Could I keep a gar in a 125G tank (72lx18wx22h")? I hear that you can, but I
think that might be a little narrow for it to move around easily. If that is
not suitible for gar, can you reccomend any other primitive fish instead?

Thanks,
Andrew
