i had a 4" spotted gar that would not eat mosquito fish but readidly ate
dried krill. that was very convenient for me.
after i moved him to the cement pond he started eating topminnows and
logperch and all my other favorite fish. that was not convenient to me.
he is now 18" and recently moved to ranger bob's.

you may be stuck w/ goldfish but you could try some frozen salad shrimp...
the sunnies will probably eat them first tho. if he was isolated he would have
more time to consider the shrimp.

give it a try and let me know.

i miss that cool spotted gar.... he was the dinosaur of the pool.
