I think this may be in reference to a recent issue of Sierra magazine that
soundly and systematically rips apart the President's environmental record.

Does it matter? The canal is man-made, built for shipping, not organisms.

And Dave McNeely is right. The President is merely signing the bill. He
didn't author it, nor tack it on as a rider to a bill benefiting the
District of Columbia. But he is taking advantage of it to send out a
pro-environmental message in an election year.

And I'm pretty darn sure the Asian carp didn't come up in tonight's debate!
:-)

Still, I'm happy he's signing it, and I sure hope it works.
