NANFA-- filter moss

I've got some kind of moss growing on the outflow trays of one of my whisper
power filters. Not java moss, but some kind of terrestrial moss. I assume
it's keeping the water clean, so I've never disturbed it. I've been trying
to think of a way I could extend the outflow tray, so that it parallels the
strip light. Plants in the outflow tray underneath the light might really
purify the water.
