There is an article that appeared in the Sunday Advocate, Baton Rouge on
December 3,2000 that is titled "Snail darter impetus, victory of animal
protection law" that features a picture of David Etnier holding a preserved
specimen of the Snail darter and also mentions TVA's owm, Ed Scott.

I will mail this to Chris Scharpf and perhaps he can use it in an upcoming
American Currents, with the permission of Duncan Mansfield of the Associated
Press. (Author)

Those who visited the Chattanooga NANFA convention in June of 1998, hosted
by our #1 Fishead, Casper Cox will remember the two gentlemen mentioned in
this article. They were in attendance at that time and took us into the
Appalachian's for a look at some of Tennessee's beautiful streams and
fishes!

Those requiring further information or a copy of this article can contact me
at any time. (Or try the following website: www.theadvocate.com and mention
the above title and author, dated December3, 2000 section B page 7.

Regards,

BG Granier
