For those of you paying attention to this chase, check out this link for a
good description of Tilapia (Oreochromis) mossambica:

I have a bad feeling that Jan's ID of the fish as a T. mossambica may be
right, which would be truly mindblowing. If you've ever been to Vermont it's
hard to imagine Tilapia showing up as an exotic.
