For a darkroom sink? Use any int/ext latex primer, then the next day latex
caulk all the seams/nail holes. Day 3 use any latex porch and deck paint
(2 coats minimum) or RustOleum. 3-4 days curing is key. Muralo also makes
a supposedly awesome ceramic-based paint (high silicate content, strong as
nails which is getting rave reviews, but I have not personally used it
yet.

If you want strongest chemical resistance, a marine epoxy will work best,
but I don't recommend working with those kinds of materials for
obvious health and environmental reasons. Evaporating paint from a 4x8
sheet of plywood is like opening up x-number of cans of paint laid out in
a 4x8 rectangle and sticking your nose right over the fumes!! Even with
latex, you may want to use an osha-rated mask for voc vapors. I've been
painting since the early '80's and can't do closets anymore w/o proper
osha protection - I'm just too sensitized to the fumes.

Since I'm on the soapbox, of course you'd never dump wet latex paint down
the drains (duh!), but rather let it air dry and peel it out of the
plastic paint pot you'll be using. Here, the state of MA allows dried
latex paint as a regular household waste (ie, goin in the landfill.) but
I'm not sure of other states.
