The Chinese paddlefish is a true giant, reaching over 3 m (9.8 ft) and 700 kg
(1543 lb). Reports of 7 m (23 ft) specimens are erroneous due to an incorrect
conversion between metric and traditional Chinese units of measure (see Jenkins
and Burkhead, 1996).

The beluga, Huso huso, of southeastern Europe, 8.6 m (28 ft), is the worldıs
largest freshwater fish.

The white sturgeon, Acipenser transmontanus, 6.1 m (20 ft), is North America's
largest freshwater fish.

Bonus question: What's the largest non-anadromous fish in NA?
