Hi Jay,

I guess you could say that New England region could be considered a
chapter. This was our first meeting, and all seem pretty excited about
future meetings and events. I would assume if meetings and outings
continue on somewhat of a regular basis, you could then call it a
"region".
As far as what area is covered, all of New England (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI,
CT [including the offshore islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket MA,
and Block Island, RI]) could be considered the "region". What makes New
England nice, is that you can be anywhere in it within a few hours drive
(depending on where you are going, far northern ME would be an
exception). So I believe a regional chapter can work here very well,
especially if we rotate meetings around to different states (we talked
about that at the meeting, and plan on holding a meeting in CT).
Our next meeting is February 11th (again in Dighton MA, same
place/time). We would like to have the 3rd meeting in CT if possible.
As always any and all comments and suggestions are welcomed.
