Latv year while we were diving in one of our lakes to watch fishes, we also saw Ceratophyllum.
Theese plants were halfway buried in the bottomlayer. The bottom was very soft and it was to risk ones life to stand there (so we didnt),
But I assume that when the weather is very windy, the plants get buried in the soil, and they continue their growth there, until either they
rot on the buried part, or they get free by watermovement.
Other plants sticked to peaces of wood, you know how it is when your cathing a fish in an aquarium with Ceratophyllum, suddenly all you catch is that plant!.
Its leaves are very good to get attatched to something.

Martin.
