Sorin,

No scovelli in these parts (i.e., Chesapeake Bay). But we do get S. floridae, S.
louisianae, and S. fuscus. The latter is especially common. In fact, we often
collect it at one of the sites favored by the local NANFA group, at a wetlands
center in Grasonville just over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I videotaped them in
a phototank, but never deigned to bring any home knowing how difficult
syngnathids were, and not really having a place for them. But with all the
advice now given, maybe I'd be temped...
