Well, I appear to have stirred up a bit of unintended controversy
with the membership cards suggestion.
I'm proud to be a law abiding member of NANFA, and try to
"spread the word" where an opportunity arises. My suggestion
included the suggestion that the NANFA Mission Statement
appear on the cards. This would remind all of us what NANFA
stands for, and having it in my pocket along with various credit
cards, driver's licence, etc., would be a ready tool to help
explain what NANFA is all about.
And based on my few contacts with the uniformed public
servants at streamside in federal parks here in Southern
California, I am quite certain having a NANFA card would
help explain what I am up to out there with my collecting gear.
