My son and i recently returned from a 11 day wander through Arkansas.
We started our trip by spending a couple days along Reelfoot lake... an
amazing place. We rented a motor boat and explored the coves and shadows, found the
golden topminnow's only Tennessee location. Lots of turtles, snakes and
crawdads.

I found mention of this short story at the local visitor museum and loe by
the power of the internet i found the complete short story. I reformatted and
printed it to 7 pages but you can read it online.

the address is...

http://gaslight.mtroyal.ab.ca/gaslight/fishhead.htm

an excellent short story, it's filled with references to all manner of fish
and beast, the creation and history of the lake and revenge from the dark
depths.
