<< does anyone have any good ideas for how to do an outside pond to get the
pickerel to spawn let me know. especially if you have some kind of
recommended plant. one good thing is that I am sure they do not eat their
own eggs like some fish. they will probably wait for the eggs to hatch and
then eat the fry. hehe. >>
I am sort of playing with the ones I got last week. I put them directly in
to my pond. Based on an old "American Currents" article (you can read it
online at the NANFA website) it looks like water temperature jump from about
42*F to 60*F _might_ be a trigger.
I am also looking for tips if anyone has them.
