A rope fish might be a good tank mate. I have always been partial to
primitive type fish and (blasphemy!) I like to combine native and nonnative fish in
the same aquarium as well. I have found out that mudpuppies are pigs and will
eat anything they can catch so I had to cut back on nonnative sedentary fish
like rope fish and birchirs.
