I've done it before IM. Your plan sounds good, but remember to tuck that
liner under itself for extra strength. Be sure to give it plenty of
support, too! There are lots of good plans in different cheap pond and
landscape books, too. Above ground ponds are very popular, especially
indoors where your downstairs neighboors tend to frown on any other sort.
