NANFA-- blue floss

i agree w/ the blue floss idea. however ive found a material available at
pool stores that is a bit tougher and 1" thick. cuts and holds its shape
well. tight to your edges and uplift tubes and such.
i do think for a proper planted tank tho it seems best to completely forgo a
under gravel filter and build a substrate w/ sand, laterite (unperfumed kitty
litter) and gravel.
still tho the only plants i really have good growth w/ are java fern and moss
and it attaches to wood and rock above the substrate.
you folks w/ florishing plants... hats off to you.
