In my opinion, the easiest and best way is to make small filets. It is a lot
easier and the result is better than scaling them. The filets will be bite
sized but tasty. The one I have in my 100 gallon tank would make bigger
filets. She is now 13 inches long at 4-5 years of age.

Lee Harper, who once was faced with the task of cleaning over 50 small
bluegills for some Cub Scouts who caught them. The farmer wanted his pond
culled, so we had to promise him that we keep them and use them.
