To all New England members,

We have two meetings planned for the month of June, one in CT on June
10th, and one in MA on June 24th. Keep an eye out in the mailbox for the
announcements. The CT meeting will be in Old Lyme again, same place as
before. The MA meeting has not been officially planed as far as location
is concerned, but there will be a meeting on the 24th. A collecting trip
is planned for the June 24th meeting, and a meeting/auction of sorts for
the June 10th meeting.

As a regional representative (especially of New England [6 states]) it
becomes a little bit of work to plan out meetings around the region,
print out and send out invitations, line up door prizes/raffle items etc,
and book meeting spots. I must thank George Tamburri (CT NANFA
Representative) for arranging the location's on our CT meetings. All
this work is done on MY TIME! The NANFA regional representative program
is not a paid position! I juggle NANFA along with my full-time job with
the fire department, my part time job's, running my business, teaching
1st, 3rd and 5th grade, sitting on several town committees, maintaining a
house, and spending time with my pregnant wife. With the nine gazzillion
acres of brush fires we have been having up here, school ending in June,
and lots of other things...weekends aren't always open for NANFA meetings
(as much as I would like them to be!) Many times I try to get out to
collect...but just can't make a whole day of it. So hang in there, we
will all get out to go collecting. And can always
collect alone, it doesn't have to be a group effort!

Again, NANFA New England is not dead...we just haven't had a meeting in
a month! If I remember correctly...only two NANFA members from MA went
to the last CT meeting. Remember as time goes on, a lack of attendance
at meetings will be a cause for not having bear with us!

See you all on the 10th and 24th!
