<< One thing I was wondering about is aeration or circulation. I know that the
standard wisdom is that some kind of circulation is need but I didn't have any
and everything seemed fine >>
The only time I provided aeration or circulation in a pool (I have had pools
since 1945) the water lilies almost died until I turned it off. They need the
temperature gradient. Fish also seem to prefer different levels they can
choose.
