I never say that I keep any turtles, but I do keep a Geochelone pardalis...
Leopard Tortoise from southern Africa (actually, mine was captive bred in
Alabama). A fairly large land tortoise.

However, since the root word that started the discussion is the Family
designation Testidinidae, which includes all "land tortoises" and most
"freshwater water turtles" I guess I'm included.
