NANFA-- More on golden shiners

I thought about trying them again, because of how brightly colored the wild
ones that I caught were. When I'd heard about their eating duckweed, then
that clinched me. Just when I think my tanks are cleared of the stupid
stuff, it's back again.

I've circulated some feeder goldfish through the tanks to get rid of the
stuff--they do a good job, but eventually get big and start eating the
plants, as well. And it was either the gold fish or the Vietnamese minnow
that ate the java fern down to the ribs!
