Thanks for the information. I just need to have a general Idea that the pH
is in an acceptable range and wanted to know which types of testing were
accurate and how long they lasted. The drop kit is probably ten years old,
so that may be why I was getting strange readings. The paper strips I
wondered about since a few I used fifteen or so minutes after the test they
were showing really skewed measurements. The 30 second time they recommend
though showed what I expected. I may have to invest in some of these new
electronic meters, maybe they are better than what was available. Since the
calibration solutions keep, that is no worry now.
